Ambapani Ecotourism Gujarat - Hidden Place Near Vyara City
Ambapani Ecotourism spot or Ambani Campsite is a site developed by the Government of Gujarat to promote Ecotourism near Vyara. It is located at a distance of 30kms from Vyara, in the Tapi district. The site its named after the village Ambapani (Amaniya) which is at the bank of river Ambika that flows through Dang. The place is well accessible by road and can be reached using private vehicles and public transportation.
The site remains open during all days of the week from 9am to 6pm. The entry fee per person is 25Rs and the fee for parking is 30Rs for 4 Car and 10Rs for Bike. Ambapani was formerly used a campsite that was used for overnight camps during forest exploration by local tourists but now the site has developed beautiful tree houses in the campus with Hangout space to host tourists with better facilities. The site also has various activities such as children play area and boating deck that is functional during winter season and summer season subject to availability of water in the river. Ambapani Ecotourism spot is still under development therefore there are no resort like facilities or fancy restaurant to dine in. However there is a canteen located in the site that serves meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also taste local dishes in canteen which the local staff will prepare for you on order. The canteen is budget friendly and you can enjoy your favourite beverages such as tea and coffee in a cheap price.
Ambapani Ecotourism Site booking/Contact number is available on the official website of Gujarat tourism board. You can also book the tree house on site based on availability. The charges for AC tree house for 2 pax for 24 hours is 2000Rs and Non AC tree house for 2 Pax for 24 hours is 1000Rs. The rooms of the tree houses are spacious and comfortable for two people with attached toilet facilities. However, for group booking there are multiple tents that have wash areas and toilet facilities on shared basis. The site has a visitor centre where they provide all the information for the site and also information about local ecology.
The best season to visit during Monsoon when the temperature is low and the majestic lush green forests along the way will make your trip more memorable and scenic. The weather in the area is moderate and you can visit it during most times of the year however if you love watching waterfalls, rainy season is highly recommended. The site also has lot of wild visitors such as peacocks and monkeys that will greet you when you visit. Ambapani is great for one day trip to enjoy and connect with nature.
